By the phrase “line the pockets” you mean pay them free market salaries? You would rather have the good executives who can command top dollar for their skills go elsewhere while these companies are forced to struggle back into financial health under second-rate management?

Behold the stupidity of liberal economics. If Obama had ever held down a full-time job in the public sector he might have a different view of the value of paying top dollar for top quality executives.
