Sigh.

My av/as/fw suite (Zone Alarm Security Suite) is about to expire, and I want to get a different one. So I’ve been checking out the ratings and reviews, looking for a winner.

I didn’t know it was possible for every security package to be simultaneously:

The best and mediocre…
Intuitive and confusing…
Slow scans yet fast scans…
Small footprint and a resource hog…

*bangs head against desk*

I’m leaning toward Kaspersky, but BitDefender looks pretty good too.

My 2 cents. I have BitDefender on my home PC. I hate it. If it is updating or scaning it really slows the machine down. I have it set to run scans it the middle of the night to avoid the problem.

I use AVG Professional on both my work PC and laptop. I find it to run much quicker and it works in the back ground just fine.
