Persecuting conservatives? Yeah that’s why this summit is being shut down by Obama and why the Tea Party and like minded groups have been banned. What’s that? You’re telling me that the Republicans have a shot at the Senate? Really these freaks aren’t persecuted at all. God they want so badly to be like the victims of Nazi Germany, it’s not even funny. Guys if you want to be the victim of a real totalitarian regime, please either invent a time machine or move to Iran. You’re not victims at all.

The other day, I responded to someone on FB who’d said Michele Obama was a disgrace not only to America, but the human race in general. I told her in no uncertain terms what I thought about her, and she responded that Freedom of Speech allowed her to express her opinion without being attacked by anyone on the left.

Of course, I pointed out that Freedom of Speech meant she had the right to express her opinion, and I have the right to call her a vile, hateful person for it.

But I think it points to their mindset - they think their freedom of expression is infringed if anyone contradicts them or criticizes their opinion, or for example, boycotts a business that supports their point of view. At the same time, THEY feel free to contradict, criticize, and boycott.

Their idea of Freedom is very much one sided.
