One of the few things that GW Bush supported that I could agree with was his call for comprehensive immigration reform. But even his own party would not support him on that.

“Build the Wall!” and “Round them up!” has nothing to do with comprehensive reform of a system that is badly in need of overhaul, it is about doing something symbolic to rile up the base of xenophobes who support Trump.

I also remember that he didn’t scapegoat racial minorities especially Latinos. Awful President certainly but definitely not a xenophobe like Trump.
