Seven people? Oh that’s so sad. But what’s a pisser (really) is I haven’t even heard about this. I know there’s been really bad weather all over the country and the freaking MFM (TM Mandy) hasn’t reported on any of this!

Ok, some folk may dump on me for this, but I’m 56, I’ve seen statewide ice storms and other weather related “tragedies” all my life, but I know for a fact that they were NEVER covered like they are now a days.

It’s become “real time reality TV.” They are turning anything more than the mundane into news. I live in New York city and upstate New Jersey for the first 22 years of my life and there was never the sort of “edge” about the problems bad weather caused as there is now.

A big part of my family lived in La. and Tx. When I first moved to Texas in 1974, one of the first things I inquired about was tornados. My aunt said “well, there’s no way to stop them, there’s nothing you can do by take cover if they come, so we don’t spend to much time worrying about them.”

I’ve been through tornados, hurricanes, major winter weather and etc. and I just don’t remember the events being turned into entertaining news and divisive politics.
