I'm awaiting the latest season of Spooks to be fully released on Netflix. Disc 1 is still on a "long wait" list. Anyway, good choice. 24 has become far too predictable, but for some reason, Spooks/MI5 never fails to disappoint.

1000 apologies. I love the musical piece. I meant to pause it but accidentally hit the minus on the karma. *cringes*

Among friends, I've been known to say that one of the best things I took from my marriage is my love and respect for jazz. Before I met my ex, I had no clue as to how entertaining that genre of music is.

Anyway, to the peanut gallery and Lizards alike, my apologies.

No seriously. When I had to move back to OR from WA I made the stupid decision of leaving the weapon in question with my cousin (who I had been living with at the time). I didn't know what else to do, because taking it across state lines was a distinct no-no.

The story gets hazy at this point, but something happened and apparently the police have it now. If he wasn't lying about it (I don't think he would tho).

I used to get nightmares about the thing being on the loose in seattle somewhere, but its been a few years now and I've calmed down.

So thats my story of shame. Thing was damn fun to shoot tho!

If it wasn't full-auto, it should not have been a problem. If you happen to get another such rifle, remember to look into the law. Sometimes the people you talk to either don't know the law or they have an agenda.

Oh hell no! The west coast has some of the most loose gun laws in the Country!

Heck, you can own a machine gun (like that really works) with a reasonable-to-get license (not easy, but reasonable, and as of the early 2000s)

The assault weapons rules expired (and won't be renewed). They made owners choose from a combination of magazine, bayonet lug, folding stock--maybe others. Something like "two outta three aint bad." Anything auto required a lot of paper, usually green-folding.

I amend that. Ohio also has a restriction, but their cap is 30 rounds which means the standard size mag for a AK is OK. Illinois only has restrictions for Chicago and Aurora. Morton Grove (a Chicago suburb) used to have such restrictions, but they repealed them following the Heller decision.

lol there isn't much more (and luckily I have to leave in a few)

Guy works the club/rave scene alot, and sometimes broke promoters like to pay in barter. At least twice the barter was firearms. My theory is that thats why my gun got nabbed. He got in trouble some how, they searched his house and took everything, assuming that gun was like the others.

/no he's not otherwise a criminal, gotta stick up SOME!

Remember, you also need your LEO to sign off, meaning fingerprints and mugshots, unless you remember to set things up so that your silencer is bought through an NFA compliant gun trust.

That loophole seems kind of fucked up to me, but also pretty useful and knowing is half the battle I guess. Also silencers would be useful in a zombie apocalypse. Sometimes I fear that unsuppressed gunfire will just attract more zombies.
