A Canadian Hezbollah Agent

A Canadian citizen originally from Lebanon was recently arrested in Israel for helping Hamas and Islamic Jihad cells build bombs and plan terror attacks.

The arrest of the Hizbullah agent was originally reported in Yediot Aharonot on June 27. According to the paper’s sources at the time, the terrorist was a high-level agent and Prime Minister Ariel Sharon updated U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell on the man’s capture.

According to information now released for publication, [Fauzi] Ayub entered Israel on a Canadian passport. He was sent by Hizbullah to train Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists how to plan terror attacks and prepare professional explosive devices in quantities the Palestinian organizations were not familiar with.

Ayub was recruited by Hizbullah while he was still in Canada, the paper said.

And yet Canada refuses to put Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad on their list of terrorist organizations.
