For all the good Poland has done for Ukraine, its current government is a bunch of rightwing shitbags who banned abortion and need to be tossed out. Life is complicated.

Slovakia just elected a left wing pro-Putin party in their federal elections, which is bad, but they only received 25% of the total vote and will have to cobble together a fairly broad coalition to form a government, which hopefully will damp down what they can do.

Not even going to go for the “why” with Bowman here, but, on a lot of commercial buildings with maglocks/electronic door strikes that are tied into an access-controlled building’s fire system (schools, hospitals, retirement homes, etc.), a fire alarm tripping should deactivate them to aid in evacuation and to allow authorities to make entry. In addition to this, any magnetic door holdbacks on interior fire doors should also release, so they can close.

Poland may have right wing fanatics leading them but they do hate Putin with a passion, whereas our right wing loves Putin (except for the Darth Cheney wing of the party).

The problem is that it doesn’t just do that. It’s reporting a fire to open a door that you want open. It seems insane to me.

The Pro-Putin populist only got 25% of the vote, but as his party is the largest faction, they “won” the election. And they will still have to form a multi-party coalition if they want to govern.

Trump: “Imprison” Bowman For Pulling Fire Alarm

There is a nice picture of the signs at the door. They say “Push until alarm sounds (3 sec). Door will unlock in 30 seconds.” With a fire alarm to the left.

It is kinda easy to see someone in a hurry to get to a vote could misread the sign, look for an alarm to sound and pulled the fire alarm. Don’t think he has the same mens rea as the 1-6 insurrectionists.

I loved Schwins when I was riding to the lab for graduate school. Because no one would steal them. I had a wonderful, expensive French bike that I loved. Then someone went up 3 flights of stairs with bolt cutters to steal it. So I bought a Schwin with the insurance money (yep my renter’s insurance covered the robbery) and never had any worries. My mother then bought a Schwinn tandem bicycle for my sister and me to ride together, but my grandmother took that away and sold it, too. (Did I mention I didn’t like my grandmother very much?)

After my great-grandmother died, I inherited her Schwinn adult tricycle. It had sat in her garage for a long time, so I took it to a local bicycle shop and had it refurbished (which cost a bunch of money). It was stolen from me during my homeless period.

I have owned no other bicycles.

If could afford one, I’d be tempted!

Schwinn now belongs to Pacific Cycle, which owns all the WalMart brands. All the bike shop brands make electric bikes. It’s the only part of the market that’s growing.

I went to a new shop yesterday that only sells electric bikes. The guy running the place told me that there are many crappy electric bikes out there, and they will be showing up cheap at garage sales. He said quality of new ones is going up, weight and prices are coming down. He had a sub-40 pounder for just over a thousand dollars.

Is this the guy who is alleged to be a Democrat and guy who went with her to the Denver theatre production for their exhibitionism?

No, I’m mixing up my wingnuts. That was Lauren Bobbert.

I had a Western Auto 10-speed that was a tank. Through the woods, jumping ramps, I put it through hell.

Raleigh made a lot of weird brands. That could be one of them.

Trump lawyer laments reputation as ‘crazy conspiracy theorist’ after pushing election claims

Christina Bobb, an attorney for Donald Trump, said she is now treated as a “crazy conspiracy theorist” because she pushed claims that the 2020 presidential election was rigged.

While hosting an RSBN broadcast on Sunday, Bobb said her problems began while working as an OAN anchor.

“So, like, for example, when I was covering the Arizona audit, I got accused of being, you know, far right, crazy conspiracy theorist, she’s covering the Arizona audit,” Bobb revealed. “If you go back and watch my coverage, I was telling you what was happening every day. And when I, when I was guessing or speculating, I would say I was like, this is what I think is going to happen based on what we’re seeing today.

“But that pegged me as far crazy conspiracy theorist, when I was just reporting the facts,” she complained.

In 2021, The Arizona Republic’s Bill Goodykoontz called Bobb’s coverage “deceptive and dangerous” because she was also working with the Arizona Senate and conducting fundraising.

“You can call One America News Network host Christina Bobb’s role in the Arizona audit of the 2020 election a lot of things: shady, irresponsible, harmful,” Goodykoontz wrote. “Just don’t call it journalism.”
