Do these seem like poison pills to you, or do they seem like reasonable, rational and minor modifications to an existing law?

Why the obsession with a clean bill, unless you think the extensions themselves are objectionable? Do you, like Herman Cain, demand that all legislation be under three pages?

No obsession, I’m just trying to find what will pass. Unfortunately, some Republicans in Congress really want to boast they “took a hard line against the illegals”. I’d say this isn’t really the time to take it, but its what they want to do. So now I’m coming with ideas to salvage the renewal.
