If today’s crash of the Dow is any indication, not only is it dangerous, it’s also counter-productive. Particularly in an administration that has been caught again and again and again suppressing politically damaging news/info until it eventually leaked to the public. Wall Street is not just afraid that the WH is withholding vital info, they know info is being withheld and is assuming the worst at this point.

Remember how everybody said, starting within the first full day of the Trump presidency, that squandering your credibility on stupid, easily-debunked lies like inauguration crowd size would come back to bite them when a real crisis came along and they’d need America to trust what they said?

Welcome to that crisis.
