Getting ready to fly to Mexico tomorrow and I was digitally uploading my passport and the app for that asked me to lay my phone on the passport so it could scan the hidden chip…
1. Passports now have a hidden chip in them?
2. My phone has the ability to scan it?

Yeah, all US passports have an NFC chip.
