I thought there was some sort of unwritten rule about not campaigning during the other side’s convention?

Mitt Romney did an ‘exclusive’ interview in Denver during Obama’s convention in 2008. Granted, the Romney campaign is bitching about the President campaigning during their convention, but you can be sure Fox will be airing campaign events for Romney in prime time during the DNC.

If the Dems had gone first, Romney would have been out campaigning as well…there’s no doubt about it.
