I don’t think that’s the point. They knew it wouldn’t pass, that’s why they passed it. It’s kind of like the Ryan budget, they only proposed it because they knew it was never going to go anywhere. Same with their debt ceiling demands. They just want to propose unreasonable stuff because they don’t want any part of making decisions, compromises, or governing.

They pass it because they think that screaming “Well, where’s your alternative?!,” knowing they’ll never like what the Democrats produce and will let it go nowhere in the House, somehow makes them look more like “leaders” to the American people.
