He’s making clear that you have to be for something and not just be saying ‘no’ all the time. That doesn’t mean he wants thing to move in what he considers the wrong direction. But it does mean that he understands that that is what will end up happening if those who are right-of-center do not get their heads in the game and articulate what they think is the way forward. Tone deaf BS like what LaPierre served up isn’t going to cut it.
