They’re always talking about road fatalities during snow events. They fail to note however that fewer people die on the roads during snow storms because there’s fewer people on the road and people drive at lower speeds. Some of the worst periods are during summer holiday weekends and fall/winter evenings between 6PM and 9PM.

fog/mist more likely to lead to fatal accidents. Freezing mist is a particularly nasty condition since you get ice conditions suddenly and unpredictably.
