But what if the conviction vote was done in secret - and passed? Sure it would drive Trumpers batshit crazy, but then a lot of the folks they would try to primary in the GOP side would be even crazier than those who are already in the Senate. And, assuming that the conviction passes, it would pass with a spilt-50/50 and Harris breaking the tie.
