We measure wealth and prosperity in terms of how many resources we consume, not in terms of how efficiently we use them.

I’m waiting for the nuts to start advocating potlatch as a way to own the libs. Or at least the part that involves purposefully destroying valuable items as a method of proclaiming “superiority”. They would probably combine it with book burning and blaming video games* for causing all non-condoned violence.
