Been dealing with a “Obama has declared war on the Police” type. Did a quick check. The number of officers killed in Line Of Duty is at record low levels. The highest number killed during Obama’s years in office (171 in 2011) is lower than the lowest number during St. Ronnies reign (176 in 1985). For the last two years, the count is at the lowest level since 1959. It was 107 in 2013 and 117 in 2014.

Since these numbers come from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Foundation website, I suspect that even a RWNJ would have to admit that they are probably pretty accurate. nleomf.org

Policing isn’t even close to being in the top ten most dangerous professions. Commercial fishermen, loggers, roofers, steel / construction workers, sanitation workers and several other trades I can’t remember right now are killed and injured on the job in far greater numbers
