So, The World Alpine Ski Championships start on Monday. Parking started getting scarce today, it’s predicted to be non-existent after 9:00 a.m. during the two-week event.

I was late to work today, first time in the four winters I’ve worked at this particular ski shop, because I couldn’t find a damn place to park.

It’s a source of consternation for many locals. And what’s the payoff? Any Lizards planning on watching some ski racing in America? I’m not even sure what TV channel it’ll be broadcast on. I’ll keep y’all up to date, it is a really exciting thing! My local ski hills haven’t hosted The Worlds in 16 years.

I’m going to watch the Women’s Downhill in person a week from today. It’s a brand new course, the gals haven’t raced on it yet. I hope no one gets hurt, but I’m predicting some crashes. Those downhill courses at Beaver Creek are ferocious!
