I wish the media would get over their David Attenborough fascination with all-white tiny-village (pop. > 1000) hee-haws in diners.

Why are we expected to see things from their point of view? Why are they never expected to consider the perspective of a typical resident of Dallas or Columbus or whatever?

It’s easier to define what’s “typical” for a small town where they’re all each other’s cousins.
