German tech was generally well engineered - over engineered in many ways - too complex to keep running on a battlefield, which meant that they couldnât deliver in the numbers needed.
Hitlerâs fixation on super weapons also made things worse. Ultimately the Allies overwhelmed with superior numbers of equipment, had better logistics, and by the end of the way, key weapons systems were as good or better in many respects.
Not that it mattered in the end, because Germany just didnât have enough oil to power a 20th Century military facing off against three of the largest industrial powers in the world. Plus we wouldâve nuked them if the war in Europe had gone on long enough.
