By the way, I came up with the perfect Obama zinger, and he doesn’t even have to memorize it before the debates. Anytime Mitt says anything, President Obama can say, “Holy shit, I’m actually debating Mitt Romney?”

The whole point of zingers is they’re supposed to be off the cuff, in the moment quips, not a bundle of handy phrases to toss off.
