I’ve said that as well. Merchan doesn’t want to do anything weird with fines, like say fining Trump $1,000 per hour his posts remain online after stated deadline, or other ways to try and exceed the $1000 per count limit for contempt as per state law.

He’s basically stated that Trump is out of financial chances, and any other contempt will send him to Rikers.
