Listening to the Republican reaction to immigration reform on CNN right now.
Their two interviews:
Rep. Lou Barletta (R-PA), who was quoted on Monday as saying the following:

Then Phil Kent of the Georgia Immigration Review Board just went full dogwhistle by saying that immigration reform can’t happen until we keep Muslims from immigrating into the US.

This is the kind of insanity that President Obama is having to combat for proper reform.

A little bit of background on Barletta- he was voted into one of the longest held Democratic seats in the House in the Tea Party wave.

The guy made his name as mayor of WIlkes-Barre by evicting illegals and more or less making like uncomfortable for Latinos in the town. Keep in mind- this isn’t very far away from where the hate crime murder occurred a couple of years ago.
