this was not a disingenuous throwaway line - i think she meant it:

“I will be a president for Democrats, Republicans and independents. For the struggling, the striving and the successful. For those who vote for me and those who don’t—for all Americans.”

It did not seem to work for conservatives like Nicole Wallace at MSNBC and Mike Murphy who jumped on her speech right after it was over.
