It’s the same thing every actual public health expert is warning about. Hospitals clogged with covid patients who are combative and actively seeking to harm the very people trying to save their miserable fucking lives because they have bought all the conspiracy crap the right wing media has spewed at them.

And it affects everyone, not just covid patients.

It affects the care for everyone who needs it. Hospitals have to limit electives, so if you were going to have your hip replaced to deal with years of pain, that’s off. If you wanted to go for PT, that too may be rescheduled or put off. ERs will now do triage and realize that there’s no beds anywhere in region so you’re going to have to wait in the hall for hours before you get a bed in an ICU to deal with your heart attack because those units are full up with covid19 patients who take up more time and resources than other kinds of illnesses/injuries.
