It’s not that we don’t have a reason to stop Kim’s misrule in NK. It’s that we don’t have the means to do so. Where war with Libya was feasible and cheap as wars go, war with Iraq, though feasible, ended up being very expensive; we can’t afford to do that at all often. War with NK would be incredibly more violent, bloody, and expensive than the Iraq war. It would, just to mention one little detail, be a nuclear war.

But wait! We were sure, SURE, that Iraq had WMDs. Why were we so gung ho about that war? After all, couldn’t have used bio warfare on us?

My theory is that we don’t want to mess with countries we know could trigger WWIII, but if someone like Saddam waves his dick in our face long enough, hinting that he *might* have such capabilities, we decide to bring the hammer down and make an example out of them. Fine in theory, but it can cause some serious dilemmas in practice.
