We have gone from “taxation without representation is tyranny” directly to “taxation is tyranny”.

Oh that is what the Young Libertarian Alliance at Pitt was saying back in the 70s and it was only reinforced by the disciples of Murray Rothbard’s Anarcho-Capitalists in the Pitt Economics Department.

I remember having “Socratic dialogues” with YLA members in the 1970s and I replied that they were living in their “Laissez Fairyland” which is so nice in theory but totally unworkable in real life.
