I was taught that the word of god is written on every human heart. I translate that as the “love” (my humanistic a/k/a for the “god”.

I know that I am a bit pollyanna when I think any truly held religious conviction encompasses that. Yet, it seems that the truly holy people from all flavors of belief end up there.

The interesting point (to me) is that the standard for judging what is good can’t be something simple, like appeal to a text, or sincerity of belief.
