aside from the fact that his credit is in the toilet and he cant get one

the bond concept is structured to make him pay now.

cant weasel out of it later
cant delay when he loses the appeal
can’t re-negotiate terms
he’s got to pay up
now
that’s an acknowledgement he lost
and it’s totally out of his control
there’s nothing he can do about it -

must be galling him
