So the dogwood tree across the street is in full bloom, and since it was overcast & cool today I couldn’t resist dragging out the DSLR and taking some photos. I’m somewaht happy with them, but it was really windy and my prime lenses don’t have image stabilization (and it was too overcast to increase to a suitable speed) so I mostly ended up with photos that were either out of focus or not composed the way I wanted them to be. Oh, then my batteries died. I knew they were getting low, but still… grrr.

Nice photos.

I tend to use my 18-55 and use a macro/flower camera setting with the autofocus and VR (vibration reduction) on. And I can usually take pictures from within 6-9” of the subject.
