Yeah, so they would have shown the maximum it would have been if all of them had used the full deductible.

Anyway the moral of the story is that despite paying as much as we do for health insurance, it still doesn’t cover the first $X of care (where X is a function of your plan and how much it costs you otherwise).

(And then also potentially lots of other bits too up to your out of pocket maximum, supposedly, assuming you were in network, etc., and let’s not talk about the practice of balance billing, and this is going to be a giant clusterfuck that’s going to result in a lot of bankruptcies. Which can’t discharge student loan debt so that’s still going to be a drain on the economy, wheee.)

All of which, in a severe enough outcome, will bring us closer to Bernie’s future than Bernie ever could.
