Matt’s my favorite, and I think the scripts have been good with his character. I think they’ve been good at using Matt’s type of Doctor as well as doing fairly solid stories.

my irritation with the current doctor is mostly that I just don’t understand why there was this desperate need to portray the doctor as a woman. the scripts end up giving her dialogue that my ear sounds like the sort of thing Matt would be saying, or the last guy, whose name is escaping me just now. If you want to write the part for a woman, find somebody who can write dialogue for her that doesn’t have all the scrappy, twitchy banter to it.
