Be fair, his hands were tied. There was very little Obama could do in that environment to correct the Russian interference without the GOP led Congress and the mainstream press both interpreting it as an attempt by him to illegally influence the election towards his own preferred outcome.

What would have been illegal about it, especially compared to Comey’s actions?

I know that some of you don’t like me calling Obama “weak.” Sorry. but he acted the part. When you let another country carry off a coup without complaint, you’re just not what a national leader should be.
