They have started to figure out that they are only tools to the GOP, ready to be cast aside when no longer needed.

They have Rubio and Cruz to show that they can indeed achieve power, if they pledge their undying loyalty to whoever is the autocrat ruling the GOP. Aren’t Cuban Americans overall more religious and opposed to abortion? So more in tune with supposed GOP stated values.
