This is what Atlanta’s citizens heard from their elected leadership, and those who listened to that leadership were put in a big steaming shitpile worth of trouble.

And along with the bolded part, they had only 700 tons of salt/sand. I did the math on that in a thread downstairs yesterday using the usual standard spread rate of 300-400 pounds per lane per mile.
No way was that amount of salt/sand adequate and by looking at the photos, it was obvious.
It’s also obvious that the mayor and governor were totally blindsided by the storm and had no previous experience remotely close to anything other than a best-case-scenario.
