The other day, the wipers on my wife’s SUV got in a weird state where they would stop in the middle of the windshield on intermediate. We could only get it to clear when we turned the car off.

Memories of my 1970 1/2 base model AMC Gremlin with wipers that ran off of the engine vacuum. There was a dial on the dash that you had to keep moving to get the wipers to work and sometimes they wouldn’t stop wiping unless you pumped the brake a couple times…
