I can’t imagine Trump’s lawyers would let him take the stand, because he’d discredit himself in short order and the prosecutors would use that to great effect with the jury.

But then again…Trump might overrule his lawyer’s advice and insist on taking the stand, because he genuinely believes himself to be the smartest guy in the room.

He has repeatedly followed the lawyers’ advice before, including taking the 5th. No reason to think he won’t be silent this time and be a good boy in the courtroom.
