it does not fucking matter. it will pass. and at least next year, enough people will see some temporary tax relief and think it was a good thing and continue to vote GOP

I am done being anything but pessimistic here.

I beat you there months ago, I am not expecting an 11th hour save like with Trumpcare. The GOP are scared shitless of a bloodletting next year and so see this as their last real chance to get this boondoggle passed. Even if they lose big at the polls next year, enough of this bill is written such that it will impossible to dismantle it without a supermajority in both houses. And with Trump in the White House, there’s little chance of that before 2020. So what if the bill leads to a new recession and massive inequality? Their pockets are stuffed, their retirement jobs in the private sector are assured, so they don’t give a fuck.
