Liar. First, the price is $2400, not $24,000, but more importantly, as I posted previously, that is for isolated cells with a particular set of markers. Isolating those cells involves instruments that cost upwards of $250,000, run by highly trained experts whose expertise routinely brings >$150,000 annual salary. Dispersing solid tissue, FACS sorting, culturing of sorted cells, cryopreservation - these are highly specialized tasks that take expensive instrumentation and highly skilled staff.
Too much science. These people hate science.
