OT: The Teen Suicide Epidemic in Michele Bachmann’s District

That’s just sad.

This story (and probably many more like it) goes beyond any sort of gay/straight discussion: it is about bullying, it is about a social atmosphere that allows or even encourages children to pick on those who are different and thus vulnerable.

But as soon as anything with teh gey raises its head, it is full rejection mode from the part of parents, staff and administrators, they refuse to see beyond teh tey aspect of it and rant and rave about people trying to force something on them or into their orifices against their will (or at least against their expressed will and choice of belief systems).

And it has contributed to some tragic events.
