The Trump Effect: so much gaslighting and Gish Galloping mixed with fake news that the information stream is full of crap that desensitizes us to the real news, notably the clown show of horrors that is the real news about Trump: what he says, does, and who he’s picking for his cabinet.

Someone noted that confusing messages from the leadership is a feature of authoritarian regimes. It keeps everyone off balance, unable to muster any kind of organized resistance.
