Had that happen once. Boss’ son needed a job. Ball less wonder had his assistant that I got along with do the dirty work. I really didn’t mind leaving the place.

I have spent most of my career working for state government as a classified merit employee, protected from firing. I’m also one of the last generation of Kentucky state employees to earn a defined benefit pension. I’m telling my kids they better take full advantage of any 401K plan their employers offer.
