For now the Civil Rights Act of 1964 still provides that protection. However, I imagine it will be challenged soon, since both the Republican and Libertarian Parties are opposed to the act.
They seem to have found a workaround with the help of their paid mouthpieces on the SCOTUS bench: In absence of the ability to abolish the law outright, theyβll simply riddle it with so many legal loopholes that itβs effectively unenforceable.
