When you talk about “the past” you’re not saying that Mohammad was once a liberal nor that Islam has a liberal past. You’re just claiming that OTHER religions were bad once too.

So it’s not an argument about the past at all, it’s a claim that if Christianity can improve and Judaism can improve then Islam can improve too.

It is not about “the past happened” it’s about potential for the future.

This shows that you don’t follow your own arguments well enough to defend them. Thus the semantic confusion again.

In any case I’m not optimistic about Islam’s near future. And the past is worse than dismal.
