As a Coptic Christian, Pro-Bush Conservative, Egyptian, who is a friend of the incredible Sand Monkey, I sincerely think that all the uninformed posts made by some of the folks who read this blog are meek in substance. If you truly understood the dynamics of the local socio-political scene in Cairo, you would not be making remarks as such. In fact, it is quite disturbing that political commentators on the far and extreme right cannot distinguish the difference between friend and foe. It is a damn shame that we stick our necks out in the most hostile environments in the world to defend secular democracy, the freedom of speech and many other core fibers of true American values, and folks like you find the time in to smear unfounded political rhetoric on people like Sand Monkey. Shame on you.

As I pointed out earlier Sandmonkey isn’t the only one waking up to the new American right. Moderates in the region saw a whole new ugly side to who they thought were allies.
