No, its not too late. But Mitt will need guys like Newt and Ralph Reed to go around to people who lead organizations within the Republican base and explain Romney’s debate strategy. They need to be told that he’s not going to ignore them, but they need to let him lay out some policy guidelines on economics. They need to be told that if they want the GOP in the White House they’re going to need to defend Romney to the followers.

Sorry Dark, but it’s way past too late. If he goes to the debates and starts outlining what he intends to do, he’s consigning himself to remaining on the defensive right up til Election Day. It’s a strategy that’s all risk and no guarantees.
