The real question is if he wins does he caucus with the D’s or R’s? In his shoes I would say screw the R’s, I’m going with the D’s to be more effective for my state since they are the majority.

If he’s gonna vote with the Dems, then he serves no purpose. Why not just vote for the Dem candidate? The only reason to vote for Crist as an independent is if you want someone who will behave like a traditional Republican — not a social conservative, creationist theocrat type.
