Yes, as in AD 2009, not 2009 AD since AD is “anno domini”, Latin for “In the year of our Lord”.

Sounds odd to say “2009 in the year of our Lord” as opposed to “In the year of our Lord 2009”.

Call me lazy. I just say ‘09.
