Possible silver lining: If it does indeed take 12-18 months produce a vaccine we could have a President Biden in office by the time the vaccine drops. Maybe Joe could save some face for us.

If/when President Biden needs to beg the rest of the world for a vaccine, Republicans will condemn him for doing that without the slightest amount of self-reflection.
